@ Mavarchi, thanks for the riddle! I guess the answer is pretty similar to the previous basket riddle. Good riddle nevertheless!! My answer: The last person bought an egg and was given the basket with it. That way there's still one egg left in the basket =)

Ok I may be way off route here but....Has the man been charged with murder on his wife before? there for you cannot be charged again because of the thing called double jeopardy?.

Double jeopardy is a procedural defense that forbids a defendant from being tried again on the same, or similar charges following a legitimate acquittal or conviction.
