Thread: Competitive Pokemo

Does anyone here play or has played Pokemon in their life? Well the internet has brought about a new revolution to the entire game. Through the use of programs such as Netbattle Supremacy and Shoddybattle.

Tell me, do you guys actually train your pokemon to lvl.100 or just cheat them in? I alwys see people online with a full team of lvl 100 pokemon. Surely you don't train them yourself? If not, then shiny pokemon aren't special at all, but if so, do you have special respect for those that have certain pokemon?

I think it's split pretty evenly between those who cheat and the purists. To me it's not as fun to cheat, takes away from what the game offers.

This is competitive pokemon we do not worry about leveling up our pokemon, we are more worried about creating strategies and sets to outplay our opponents. You are free to choose whatever level you want your pokemon to be on, whatever move you want on it.

Been forever since I played pokemon (only played red/blue)... but does the game really lend itself to competitive play? Normally in videogames, a well-balanced strategy game is hard to come by... and I always thought of pokemon as a single player game.
