If you don't mind going a bit retro you should definitely try Baldur's Gate II, Planescape Torment and Morrowind.
Oh and Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines.

I heard great things about Dragon Age as well
Dragon Age - I've played all the way through Dragon Age and it was great, however I was bummed that once you beat the last boss there is basically nothing to do. Of course you can create a new toon and go again, but that's not always as fun. I bought the 2 DLCs at the time as well and although they added about 2 hours each I wasn't too impressed.
Torchlight - I got this on Steam a few months ago and it started out a lot of fun with neat items and unique graphics. However, the gameplay is seriously lacking after 10+ hours. It gets SUPER repetitive since you just continue to down another level in the dungeon....over and over and over. Not to mention if you continue to upgrade a weapon (and get lucky enough to not break it) it will make the game easy.
Titan Quest (Immortal Throne) - I JUST picked up this game's expansion which adds new acts and new skill spec options. TONS of items in this game as well as free online multiplayer mode. With all the different spec options this game has a lot of replay value. You can also share items between characters using the shared stash. I just got into the new expansion content.
Diablo2 - oldie but goodie! Everyone knows about this game I think..
Something I do from time to time is jump on Steam, search through the RPGs and pick one that looks fun, most are available in torrent form.
I would suggest oblivion its a very addicting game
i would suggest Two worlds 2...it's like the old-style rpg's, but it brings a lot of new elements
Sacred 1,2 and Titan Quest and its expansion Immortal Throne. But I strongly recomment you to play Diablo 2!!!
