    Default Splinter Cell: Conviction, DRM'd?

Hey guys I was wondering if the new Splinter Cell is going to have DRM, which in that case will slow down the release of the game in the torrent world..like with Assassins Creed II. Any news at all about SC:C release for PC? I'm so anxious for this game. Thanks.

Last I heard it was going to have ubisofts permanent internet connection as its DRM, but since its been broken on other games (I think it was Silent Hunter 5) and with C&C4 (with EA's own permanent net connection) I doubt it will slow down a release that much.

The release date for the PC version is the end of the month so I wouldn't be expecting it more than a week before the 30th.

    no worries.

yeah in a lot of cases they end up out before street date.

I know I'm itching to play it too, it looks awesome. (prolly because they havent been pumping them out every 18-24 months like they used to)

I haven't read anything about it, but i know that up till the previous date the game would have the online DRM as Pl4yD0h already said. Probably though after seeing their's and EA's online DRM system being cracked, they might introduce some other hidden "Ace" in order to protect it better.. Rule of the thumb though is.. Anything that's been coded can break. It's only a matter of time. :)

Man, can't wait..so the release date is April 27th. Five days from now. I sorta think they will have an ace up their sleeve, Ubisoft will pay!! Haha but I sorta have my doubts that it will even show up on the scene even around the 27th. I didn't see an Assassins Creed II torrent developed by the pro's: RELOADED/Razor 1911/SKIDROW up until now and it's been such a long time since it's been released for PC. It took the third party guys to get the job done with DRM and all. Well hopefully they will surprise us this time with an on-time torrent, not to be ungrateful or anything :D

Thanks for the info guys, anything else about the release of SC:C would be helpful.
Please keep tabs with this thread, thank you. (Very anxious and passionate gamer)

Now that ACII's DRM has been cracked and assuming Ubisoft is still using the same type or DRM I don't foresee Conviction taking long to un-DRM.
