Thread: DOTA: Defense of the Ancients

I was wondering if anyone here played DOTA on Warcraft Frozen Throne. It's a great game. I was addicted to it for 2 years to the point that it affected my school life =)

Didnt really like it that much, HoN is way better imo, just the graphics makes it so much better and playable for me :) I play at "noob/normal" level. My bro is a real pro tho :(

What's HoN? Too bad you didn't like it that much. When I was just starting out, I got owned a lot. And that drove me to wanting to become better/an addict.

I played DoTA for a while, but it was just fustrating playing when half the time the teams were massively unbalanced or people would randomly leave early and such. Eventually just gave up

HoN = Heroes of newerth, it's like dota but with better graphics and such. I really like it since you can choose what level you wanna play noob/medium/pro which is also great for beginners :)

I prefer Tower Defense maps to DOTA maps.

Yeah, they are irritating. Although ... f you play on a private server or on a high-level room on GG-client, you wouldn't get this sort of crap.

if u have a friend who is really good and can teach u, doing little games 1v1 can be fun. game has a steep learning curve tho.

Great game, but i knew that HoN would take over, so i switched to that. :)
