Thread: L4D2? Worth it?

I'm really stuck between buying L4D2 or just trying to milk some extra fun out of L4D1.



I've heard that L4D2 is basically everything that people expected in L4D1, and i want it, no doubt, but I'm not sure I want to pay 50 USD for it after I paid that for the original game, which never got bug-fixes/DLCs/updates.

Can somebody convince me one way or the other?

I like it, never wasted money on the first one though. I think the games awesome. Online is fun.

If you really want a new experience, I'd say get L4D2. As a owner of the game who has bought it, it's well worth it. The scares, updated graphics and the upgraded Infected are incredible, not to mention that the new stages are that much more challenging. You can stay playing L4D1, but the fact is that L4D2 is it's sequel-- so you'll definitely get bigger and better things coming at you.

But, i mean, is it worth the $50 if I already paid that much for L4D1?

I feel ripped-off...

I mean, should i spend that $50 on L4D2, or something like MW2?

there is no "proper" crack that will ever let you play online.

I look at it this way...

I spent $5000 US on my laptop, to get a top-of-the-line computer (Dell XPS M2010) three years ago... Between Watching movies and series, playing games, surfing the net, doing work, etc etc etc, I'd guess that i spent on at least 3 hours daily on the computer (some days i would have spent up to 15 hours, some days i wouldnt have used it at all) which equals over 3200 hours of use, and its still useful... therefore less than $2 an hour isn't a bad investment (especially over a night out on the town)

Try the same with a game... if you play online games a lot, and think you could play this game for more than 25 hours, then isn't it just fair to give the manufacturer some money... $2 an hour is pretty good value... even if you only play it for 10 hours, its only $5 an hour you're paying...
