I don't know why I'm saying this, but Tibia is a fairly good mmorpg. In fact, the game started in 1996. Some consider it the grandfather of mmorpg's. Yes, I know, you haven't heard of it. It's a 2d isometric game and the graphics are fairly average. I played the game for 5 years before the botters pissed me off too much. It has an unlimited level and skill system and as such any new players will never reach the levels of those who have been playing the game for a few years.
Anyway, I hate it now, but it's a fantastic free mmorpg (I'd prefer to pay to play WoW tho).

Atlantica online , it's pretty good

Eve Online - massively multiplayer online role-playing game set in a science fiction and space exploration setting. Beautiful game with steep learning curve and a great result of an entrepreneurship of its creators.

It is not free, however, it is possible to earn enough in the game to avoid paying monthly fee.

wow i tried eve online for like 1 week and had no clue wat i was doing so i gave up. the best free mmorpg is dugeons and dragons ftw.

Ive played a few, but i liked MapleStory the best. I love its unique sideways scroller and lack of attempt to make everything 3d and have weird controls for everything.

It's a turned based MMORPG with nightly updates at 12cst. Addicting and it doesn't take more than a few minutes each day to play and grow your nation.
