My experience with free MMO's is that they don't hold my interest for very long. WoW was the only MMO I played for more than a month. Maybe my expectations are too high lol.

Ya lately MMO's have been very boring. New one comes out and everyone drops it after the first month.

Runescape is the greatest free MMO. The world is huge and there are tons of skills. Plus when that gets boring its only $6 a month to upgrade to members!

Maplestory is a great free MMO. There are a ton of people playing. This has to be a big plus to playing an MMO. I have also really have been liking the browser-based version of Dragon Age to get ready for the retail release. You can get loot you can use later in the retail game.

Free MMO's are unfortunately usually pretty bad, dull and as people already said won't keep interest of most people for a long time since they tend to get boring and repetitive pretty quickly...

+1, it's interesting but it really does get boring and repetitive after a while. Eg. Same style of quests.

    i played kinda much mmorpg's
    about some games:

runescape; played for a long time like 3 years ago, i think this was because i had a very bad pc. nowadays i dont play it anymore, the graphics are really bad but a good concept,

archlord: liked the game because i had a duplicate hack and a lot of luck. but got very fast bored cuz u have to grind the whole time and quest are not really important.

maplestory: bored me very fast, after the normal game i played a time on a private server but to easy to hit the max level.

WOW(world of Warcraft): enjoyed this game for a very long time but after a few months of playing every day 2-3 hours it started to bore me. if u not short on money i advice you to play this game.

cabal. just fun for some time. some nice quests/dungeons but around the lvl 90 u start lvling very fast because the dungeons that u be able to do. after that it's getting boring very fast.

this is my opinion of some games.

i just downloaded borderlands and multiplayer is working so playing this now.

p.s. i'm from holland so my english is not that good
