Thread: wii modchip recommendations

The title says it all. I eally do not want to solder anything if at all possible. Any suggestions based on your experience?

You could get a wasaabi v2 on a WiiKey, a completely solderless setup *depending* on the drive and where you buy it from. If you need a lead soldered, most reputable mod chip sellers will do it for free so all you have to do is squish that puppy in there and roll My wasaabi plays everything without a hitch. There are certainly cheaper alternatives out there, but I don't like to fret about updates and such all the time and then end up bricking my system.

Any other insights out there (good stories from their wii mod??)?

Do not go solderless.
Wasabi is the best chip at the moment.
