anyones who's looked around the chopping block probably has heard of the 24 hour rule where a mod gives a poor miscreant 24 hours to redeem himself through the sheer brilliance of his oration. its not everyday that you will be served up on the chopping block so for those of you that would like try out your oratory skills at pleading feel free to join in the fun. here are the general guidelines: imagine the scenario where you are accused for something against the rules and you have the 24 hour rule in effect. what would you be inspired to write in you defence? would you totally fail and dig youself deeper into the hole? would you resort wildly to some devious machination by attempting to trick, bribe, flatter, or threaten? or would you be sure of your guiltlessness and defend your honor through well wrought words and carefully crafted sentences?
this is all purely hypothetical so feel free to be goofy or satirical if you please.
ill start: i have been accused of lets say scamming.
my plea: "Oh please me don't ban me oh great, overarching, kind, venerable, merciful, all knowing, omnipotent moderator. i will forever humbly respect the guildlines and stray not from the path of goodness. have pity on a poor sinner like myself who has been seduced by the powers of corruption. aquit me of this terrible sin and i will forever be repentant as your humble, servile, self effacing, and admiring servant."
needless to say this plea would probably get me a back hand across the face with some public ridicule and shame thrown in...have fun!
