Default Counterstrike is not a game, it's an addiction.

As each day passes, I find myself considering Counterstrike to be lesser and lesser of a game. I remember back then when I first started playing this game, if I remember correctly, was about 9 years ago, I was having a good ol time. After you popped somebody, and you heard that infamous "Headshot", you knew it was the way to be. Nine years later I still find myself trying to loadup the de_dust2 server with the best ping.
All it's headshot glory gone, and with gameplay as stale as soggy bread, I can't let the game go.
Counterstrike is not a game, it's a drug. Thoughts?

haha...i was pretty addicted to CS 1.6 a few years ago but now I don't play anymore and play L4D. So I don't think it's much of an addiction. You just have to tell yourself to "QUIT" and do something else and you should be able to quit.

lol... It can get pretty addicting. But if you actually play one other game (it only takes one) like GTA SA/MTA then that just pulls you out of it.

I agree. Even i'm addicted to Counter Strike 1.6. Initially played cz loved it. Then on LAN, atleast there was a limit. After i got Steam and dtarted playing online there was no looking back. From 3 hours minimum in a day to 8-9 hours sometimes. I wish I never started playing this game.

i agree 100 percent on this.
I've been playing cs from 6 years now. Damn this game pulls you in it.
I've wasted a lot of cash than earned because of this game.
Forget cash, I've wasted much more time on the game.. its very addictive, but I'm not the only one i guess. Yes it is a drug.

I've now stopped playing, not completely but have cutdown to an hour a day as compared to 4 hours a day before... phew !
