    Default Doom 3 remastered

Remastered Doom 3 Bundle Coming With Enhanced Graphics

Found this article on Tom's, pretty cool if they enhance the graphics on PC as well although just recently installed the original Doom 3 and got some mods for the textures so the game looks pretty great without the official remake.
And what's with the love for consoles?

Maybe this re-release is a prelude to Doom4 announcement.

    i.e. PS3 and XBox360

this remastered edition isn't planned for PC(sadly)

Doom 3 'BFG Edition' brings Hell to 360/PS3/PC 'this fall' with entire back catalog in tow | Joystiq

From the title of the article I read that a PC version is coming.
Still, get the old Doom3 and get the Sikkmod and high res textures and your set.
Also waiting to see what doom4 will look like.

Meh. Doom 3 was the best looking game I had ever seen when it was first released but it was so dark in most scenes that you couldn't appreciate much of the graphics. Plus it used cheap thrills like walls opening up outta nowhere to release demons. Wake me when Half Life 3 is announced.

There are LOADS of texturemods and shadermods for the PC version out since ages.
The only problem is getting the game to run on my system :P

Yeah, it was quite the crusade getting doom3 to run recently. Update to the latest version, force widescreen, disable Catalyst AI in registry, but hey finally got it going with sikkmod and high resolution textures and I have to say that despite the game being 8 years old it looks pretty good still. So us PC gamers pretty much have been able to play the remastered version for ages now.
    Anyways, suckit Carmack consolelover.

PS. I own a ps3 and love the god of war series and uncharted series, but FPS is PC only, mouse and keyboard FTW
