Thread: RPG or FPS :)? It's simple

I really do enjoy a good RPG but they are Soooo time consuming! If I hear a game takes 40+ hours to complete, I probably won't even bother playing it. But I love FPS games.



My all-time favorite FPS has got to be Halo 2, I played so much of that game and NEVER got tired of it. IMO, the series ha gone downhill since Halo 2. Now, it's all about Gears of War 3 coming out, that will be epic (played the beta, they have the game perfected now).

As far as RPG, the one I played somewhat recently that I totally loved was Borderlands.

in my opinion RPG is for underages and FPS for older ones, cause after playing a lots of RPG you get tired of the mechanic of the game, meanwhile FPS you can ever improves your skill and not depend on cash items.

I would consider it exactly the other way around but for different reasons. I think when people get older, they can appreciate the deeper story and attention paid to art and detail on an RPG. Of course, this doesn't mean an FPS can't have a moving story and deep atmosphere, it's just normally not the case with most generic shooters. In the end, what matters is that you enjoy yourself no matter in which genre.

I am playing both game genre but I prefer RPG over FPS mostly cause I like big games and RPG last longer than an average FPS.

I like both just about the same, some rpgs are good to play when your by yourself and they have nice elements that make you feel like youve accomplished something great, FPS games on the other hand don't develop their stories much but they're really good when playing with friends specially online, I still buy every COD game lol I know its the same game every time but I still love playing it online

I actually play both of them. But when i play every FPS games, i choose RPG games. There are some of them are very great, on the other hand some of them doesn't mean anything.
