Free Seedboxes for IRC Users!
Hi there all,
So this is my idea for a competition in order to gain more interest and activity in our IRC.
For those of you that have never used the irc before, it is really a great place to get to know our more active members, and the staff. Believe it or not, most of the day to day business of running this site, seems to take place on the IRC.
Those higher level invites, the ones you think are out of your grasp? Well for the most part they are, however, using the IRC changes all that.
Those higher level invites are only given out to members, generally, when they are trusted, and known by the inviter.
The best way to get to know the right people, is to be active in, and take part in our IRC.
So anyway - onto our competition.
The competition will run for the next 5 weeks at least (maybe more), with the winner at the end of every week being granted a seedbox, for one week.
Tardish has very kindly agreed to donate the box for at least the first week. So a missive big thank you to him. Please remember that if you feel the need to thank this thread - I would much rather you thank Tardish, as he is the one who will be donating the prise for the first week. At the moment, the only thing that I have done has been writing this thread.
The rules are simple. This competition will be open to NEW irc users from this point on, and ONLY new irc users.
IRC users joining from this point forward, will be eligible for all 5 weeks of seed box time, not just in the week they apply - so remember if you don't win in the first week you apply, keep active, and keep yourself in the game. (This competition will also be open to all members with an account less than 4 weeks old - Even if you have already joined the irc previously)
There are no hard or fast rules for the winner. The winners will be active, and will make useful contributions. They will not just idle in the channel - that will not win you the seedbox. The decision on the winner will be made by Tardish and I, with input from other active irc users, who are in the position to monitor your activity levels, and make recommendations.
If you wish to participate in this competition, you will need to apply to this thread.
I will edit this post to include the list of all participating members, and of course, the weekly winners.
So get applying, get active, become a real part of the community!!!!
