Thread: Semidedicated (225gb) - 1 MONTH

Hey guys, I'm back with another give-away. Once again, it'll be a one (1) month semidedicated server from Xirvik. I've found the German boxes to be slightly better than the French ones and many of the previous winners seems to have fully taken advantage of their duration.



Anyways, before I paste the same details I would like to say how awesome our community is. We've been offering more and more seedboxes and at longer durations to our outstanding members. I just logged on and have seen 3 particularly incredible GAs. Awesome guys. Awesome.

Okay, so once again, I'll be offering the following server:

You will receive the server for one (1) month. I haven't had any complaints nor issues from any of the past winners so I'll continue this GA for as long as I can. As you probably already know, this is money out of my pocket, but I just wanted to provide outstanding/deserving members at T-I, those who may not have the resources to get their own box, with an opportunity to access one.

This will help T-I in two ways. Obviously you will be able to move up user levels at whatever trackers; thus, earning invitations and providing them here. If you didn't have the basic understandings of a seedbox you will learn them and could possibly pass on that knowledge to other members.

Things to consider:

Yes, this is a semidedicated server so there are three (3) other users on this with you. You will all have unique IPs, but you will be sharing RAM and processing power.

You don't have root access. You cannot extract files.

I simply mean you can't VNC into the server; so you can't do any configuration to it. Yes, you could still create torrents with the rutorrent frontend, save it on your local PC, and upload it to the site. Although, if you wanted to upload files to BMTV, you won't be able to unless you've pre-downloaded an extracted copy from some place else. You can still cross-seed similar files where ever you like. Rar scene releases can be cross-seeded to most scene trackers. It works no different from your local BT client, just with restricted options (I'm not too sure if RSS feeds works properly), a tad slower, and working off a webui. Hopefully that answers a few things.

I won't be looking for anything specific in your applications. It's upto you to provide whatever you feel is necessary to win this box. Although, please put some effort into your post. Short pasted blurbs probably is not be the best approach.

I already got my box for the month from Jenna, so I hope another fortunate member can get this box and experience the awesomeness.

One thing I would like to point out for future applicants. Xirvik semi-dedicated seedboxes are BANNED from waffles. I was pretty upset when I found this out, but I can still build up a buffer on SCC, so its all good.

edit: as el2em pointed out, only USA servers are blacklisted. Thats why I cant use it. However go nuts with el2ems giveaway!

That's not quite true. Here's a direct quote from a mod:

[...] Xirvik has hosts in multiple countries. Their US servers are blacklisted, and French servers are tracker-only. Other countries are permitted here.

So in this case, the German semidedicated boxes will give you no issues. Happy posting.

Well it starts with Hd-bits where I need some upload to get a promotion and become the mighty man there...followed by my other tracker KG quite a tough one to seed so it's always good to have seedbox so I can continue downloading with keeping my ratio about 1-1.5...
then PIN,I know most of you don't bother about this tracker but I love the packs they have but uploading data there is little headache as the number of leehers are quite less in there..gfxnews.ru ....well I have to download some big old files there so I need a big ratioboost from the new one before doing it...


now that was where i need it desprately but there are some places where I can use it as a bonus if I get it:
1.tvt.ro as I have provided invite over IRC so I got no proof as i point for most of them..but I can assure you I have provided BCG,tvt.ro,ipt and all invites on IRC..though can only remember 2 names whom I have given...
oh about tracker I can use a bit of buffer there for the next promotion..

Needs are more or less same only other then 1 tracker filelist.ro well I have joined this tracker 4-5 days back and haven't downloaded anything yet just waiting for some start there....:and if you need proof of any tracker I am on you are welcome to ask...or if you want to ask whom I have given BCg invites and other I can PM you the name and you can ask them for conformation..he he

well I'm also thinking of joining Music-vid and without a seedbox it's no use of joining it as seeding is real tough there.... ;) will only join when I have box invite is there fo rme that I am assured... ;)

Once again a great giveaway L2M. I appreciate your generosity of sharing the seedbox every month with us. It really feels great to be a part of such commuity. I am applying 2nd time in your giveaway. I have joined few nice trackers in the past month and its really hard to keep good ratio without the seedbox. I am even struggling to reach 1:1 at TT. Here is the screenshot:

Also I would like to boost up ratio on trackers like SCC and GFT as they demand huge hard disk space and continuous seeding.

this is your another great giveaway and i am apply on your this great give away with great hope, i applied for my waffles and my what.cd accounts, which are now going under horrible ratio, if i got this, i will improve my ratio, you can see my upload speed in my speed test result, please help me, i applied for the seedbox previously but i got no response, so i applied now with new wish from you

i seed every torrents arround 18-20 hours in a day so if i got this seedbox i will seed the torrents with the same times in a day, that will give me a good position in these sites (at list power user), then i will got some invites (not for what.cd), which are i will give here

believe me if i get the seedbox this time than i will be able to give some good rare invites, i allready have 6 to 7 stars in bithumen and also i am on verge of getting new invites in many rare tracerks.

i want to be frank with u, thanks to buckyshoot and konVILEuted i have ratio of above 1 on most of the trackers.

if i get seedbox this time than i can have some good ratio and could get invites on them and can help people over here.

I would like to say thank you for doing this for the T-I Community and I also appreciate you even considering me as an applicant. I am currently attending college full time and seeing that I currently can't afford a Seedbox, it's the least of my worries right now. In addition, this would be my first chance at getting my ratio higher, but more than that, it would also be my first with a Seedbox.
