Thread: Monthly Seedbox Giveaway! Show me your best Haiku.

Hey guys, the time is here for me to become more active and giving back to this awesome community that is TI. You guys have helped me so much from the moment I first joined to now. It's been an honor and a pleasure. Therefore I'd love to give away one month of a very nice seedbox.

The giveaway will be a contest for creating the most creative and inspiring haiku that has to deal with torrents, trackers, or anything in the community.

For those of you that have never written a haiku before here are the basics.

Haiku, is a very short form of Japanese poetry typically characterised by three qualities:

• The essence of haiku is "cutting" (kiru).^[1] This is often represented by the juxtaposition of two images or ideas^[2] and a kireji ("cutting word") between them, a kind of verbal punctuation mark which signals the moment of separation and colours the manner in which the juxtaposed elements are related.^[3]
• Traditional haiku consist of 17 on (also known as morae), in three phrases of 5, 7 and 5 on respectively.^[4] Any one of the three phrases may end with the kireji.

Any problem in me counting the 'poetic syllables'(poetical metrics system for the portuguese language ) as i didn't yet got how to count those on the english phonetics ( it is something related to feet .-. )

Keep practicing man, Haiku's are really fun once you get the hang of them. The tip for syllables is that every time your mouth opens that is one syllable just as a general rule.
