Well it's time to do it again! We are finally able to offer people our SpeedBox series but need to test it first, and yep that means some blazing fast seedboxes for you guys

Giveaway delayed until this Thursday the 22nd due to the datacenter being out of SAS cards.

About the SpeedBox

This box is designed to be the fastest speedbox in the world and as far as we know it will be. It is meant for buffering and or saving those precious accounts on your favourite trackers. Here are some stats on it. I haven't finished the setup as of yet so these are not exact stats but they are close.

Storage: 95 GB (Changed from 120 GB one day I'll get the overheads nailed down :P )
Connection: 1gbit
Bandwidth: Unlimited
RAM: 3 GB dedicated 4GB Burstable
Access: SSH (root), VSFTP, HTTPS, Custom WebGUI
Interfaces and Management: RuTorrent (many plugins included), Rtorrent, Avalanche, Ajax Explorer, SolusVM and WHMCS control panels.
Support: Forums, tickets, live support, IRC, and, knowledgebase
Misc: As usual instant setup. Everything comes pre-installed and every box is a dedicated VPS so there is no resource sharing. Maximum 5 users per server. SolusVM control panel gives absolute contraol (reboots, re-installs, usage graphs, and much more).

What makes this box so fast?

The main obstacle to blazing speeds these days is hard drive technology. It has fallen far behind todays connection speeds. The majority of seedbox hosts are running SATA 2 drives because of the huge storage. Sadly though these drives have a slow transfer rate, and unless in RAID 0 or 10 are only able to sustain a combined read/write speed of roughly 100 mbit/sec. Raided they reach about 300 mbit/sec (burst).

For the speedbox we are using 4x 15k SAS drives in RAID 10 on a dedicated 3ware controller. This is the fastest of the fast. I know of no other host that is running these drives nevermind in RAID 10 with a dedicated controller! This setup can reach over 500 mbit/sec of sustained read/write speed



Why only a 1gbit connection?

Honestly there is no reason to use a 10 gbit connection. There is no server in the world right now that can even come close to sustaining combined read/write speeds of 1gbit. Until hard drive technology catches up with out connections 10 gbps is only really needed for switches.

The boxes are $25 CDN per week. For now they are just available on a weekly basis due to the nature of the box I don't see most wanting them for a full month.

IMHO Jones will beat Jackson.Rampage is only one-dimensional ,which is boxing.Jones would take him down to the ground easily.For me,the fight of the night is Nick Ring vs Tim Boetsch cz i am always a fan of 'The Barbarian'Tim Boetsch
and also curious about will Ring undefeated streaks ended here
i will definitely take some time to write a review if i get this.

I agree with both. Jones is just too dynamic though I do believe if he stands with Jackson he would still win. His striking is much better than rampage though he doesn't have that monster power. I think we will see him stand with Rampage just for fun and to prove a point. Boetsch is a blast to watch yeah :D

Hi SeedKing, i would like to take my chance in here, becouse i didn't taste the seedbox in my life, and you would give me the cahnce to fixe some ratio and rise my upload, becouse i realy needed, this are dark times there is no denial and soon whe have to chose , what is right and what is easy...... if you want , you can cheak my speed test, if you would like it.......... and also I think the winner should be Jones.
