Thread: Animated sigs for VIP 4 + 5

I think it's a reasonable request to allow animation in signatures for VIP tiers 4 and 5 (help set them apart and give incentive for users to donate/achieve them)



As far as I know you can have animated avatars, so I don't see what the issue is bandwith-wise. I'd say most users on a torrent forum have a high enough bandwith to download a few gifs per page (if that).

Hmm, interesting suggestion. For some reason I don't like animated avatars/sigs. But I guess if others like it...

I think if this goes forward it should be only for VIP tier5. That tier needs some more unique features imo, and this could be one. Actually, making animated avatars & sigs only for (VIP tier5)+ would be pretty cool.

I like, and i agree.
Tier 5 is the highest VIP rank in TI and it does need some more unique features, this would be a cool feature to have.Im not trying to encourage spam on this thread but im sure there are plenty more guys who would also agree Kevin.

Let me suggest animated avatars as well.

Yeah I quite like the idea, as long as its subtle animation, I don't want to be sat reading the boards only to have a sig suddenly leap or something, startle me and I end up spilling my coffee everywhere (which would be sacrilege btw).

I would actually say that possibility should be enough for anyone to vote yes on this idea lol, That image of you screaming will be stuck in my head for the rest of the day :P

So no harmless image that suddenly turns into a scary face? Damn lol.

I don't care either way for animated or non animated sigs/avatars but I like the suggestion and I would most probably request one made.

Also I think both Tier 4 and Tier 5 as mentioned by the OP should be awarded this priviledge. A difference of 20 Euros between the two classes (assuming they are purchased and not earned via class requirements) which isn't huge but both amount are hefty sizes and I think both should have something more signifigant than VIP Tier 1,2,& 3.

Plus for those in the lower tiers this feature might give them something to look forward too when they reach the higher tiers. Might even stimulate them to be more productive and work harder on making more meaningful/useful posts.

I also like this idea and am in agreement that it may serve as an incentive for others to want VIP 4 and 5 all for it

I also like this idea. I believe I saw 1 person with an animation avatar already. If this gets approve the only thing you guys need to do is increase the image size right? Exmaple 195.3 KB to something like 500 KB.

Edit: that person would be ethicks. That less then 195.3 KB which means VIP 4 will be able to use animation avatars too but the image size would be limited.

EDIT: Animated sig removed.

Is there any way to prevent other tier from using animation avatasr other then applying a rules that says VIP tier 1-4 aren't allow to use animation avatars.
