    Default Image Dump

The image dump at T-I could use a major rework....

We should be able to keep track of what images we uploaded and be able to access them thru out account

This way, when we lose the url of the image we wouldn't have to upload the pictures again which is frustrating

I propose we be able to access all of our uploaded pictures from a central database, which is convinient

    Thoughts?

I honestly don't see a reason why we should do this. "When you lose the URL of an image"?
The only kind of image I can imagine anyone posting in more than one thread is a ratioproof, and even those shouldn't be posted all over. I always did new proofs for each GA I applied.

Anyway, if it was like *finger snap* and things are done, I guess we could do this. But that's not the way things work.
Have in mind that all you are using is created by people like you and me, and what you are suggesting seems to require deep coding.

To sum it up, I don't think the advantages of what you are suggesting and enough to justify the effort it would take.
    But that's just my opinion

    Cheers,
    KevinFlynn.

I have to agree with KF we only use the images once. But sometime its does get really annoying when you upload a picture and click somewhere else you can't back track, and need to re-upload the image again.

I have question. Do the images we upload get delete over time? I remember uploading an image for a tracker review and then some how the image got replace with another image.

^^ I also agree with Hearts and KevinFylnn. Ive also recently found you can upload multiple images all at once at torrent invites image dump. It really does everything. Im not sure why you would want to re-access the images after a certain time. Since, the majority of the time they are for a giveaway, we all should be creating brand new ratio proofs edited to T-I rules and not re-using the old ones.

Hearts, I have also seen posts where the image changes, but this was due to the fact the user was using another image hoster and not the three authorised image hosts.

It is not necessary to change the coding for this. I was just trying to create a workaround by posting the links to the images in an dedicated article on my blog. The idea was to keep track of my progress using image uploads but many hated it and the post was deleted. I guess some people just like to keep records of what they do or are just lazy (like me) why duplicate the work even if it is a very small effort to do it. Most will probably see it as a source of abuse. It could also provide a tracker history that can be attached to the user with cons and pros (another place for such a debate)

Why don't you use email function provided with image dump, for example upload multiple images at once and choose email to be sent back to you with all links. It's simple and safe.

The bandwidth it would take for us to allow you to keep and view your images at any time would be extremely costly. T-I is not an image host site. We allow you to upload images here for convenience but they do not permanently stay on the server. The best way for you to keep track of your images is for you to either email them to yourself, or keep a copy on your hard drive. You can also choose to upload them to another image host site to keep track of.
