Default Conspiracy Theories-Did man really land on the moon???

Ok guys im pretty hung up on conspiracy theories and love to read about them but this one has to be one of,If not the biggest conspiracy theory of all time,Did man really ever step foot on the moon?

On July 20 1969 Neil Armstrong was the first man, closely followed by Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin. But did this really happen? Did man really ever go to the moon? or is this an elaborate hoax that was filmed in Area51 by the US government. There are still millions of people who believe we really did go to the moon and there are millions who don't what do you guys think? here is my opinion what's yours???

In my personal opinion we never went to the moon and i think this "story" was generated because the American government was scared that the Russians would beat us an become the first to set foot on the moon.I think this was filmed in Area51 and a complete hoax here are a few reasons why *I* think it was fake--

~~Why is there no stars in the pictures they took? Surly if your out in space there are stars all over...aren't they???

~~Why is the American flag waving in the pictures they took..There is no atmosphere on the moon so how does it wave?

~~Why is there no blast crater? When the rocket landed why didn't it create a cloud of dust the rocket was very powerful and should have created a crater at the very least.

~~How did they survive all the radiation? The Russians stated that you would need 4 foot of lead around you to survive going through the Van Allen belt and this was the main reason that they decided not to try to land on the moon.

I have read many articles on this but these 2 of which where i gained some information were-

    Sources

Were the Moon Landings a Hoax?
    The Apollo Hoax

These i will say are my sources, but these are MY views.Based on all the evidence i cannot believe that man ever went to the moon. What are your views are you a non believer like myself? or are you one of the millions of people who still believe to this very day that Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin actually did step foot on the moon.

Post your thoughts below and tell me what you guys think????

Bridskid, I am really into conspiracy theories myself but don't know what angle to take as of late. I have read SO MANY theories that if I keep going reading new ones and believing them pretty soon I will be in a one room shack in Montana like the Unibomber. It seems like everyone but me is in on absolutely everything.

That being said, I am pretty sure that we landed on the moon. The proof that the theorists provide for this one is just lacking in my opinion. Plus, with the new evidence that has come out as a result of NASA's moon/water testing, we have for the first time pics that actually show the debris from the astronauts, tracks, and leftover equipment. You can check this out here. Also, I remember hearing one very interesting account from an astronaut of his experience traveling through the Van Allen belt. I can't remember where I saw it off the top of my head, but I can research further (at work right now). The astronaut actually described being able to feel and see a pinprick of ultrabright light in the center of his brain that felt like it was zapping brain cells. Very cool story and had some sound discussion on the topic of the grand conspiracy theory.

All in all, I believe in a lot of shit, but I just don't think I can hang my hat on this one.

Well bridskid now you've conducted me to some doubts...

Believing in the pictures and that assumptions hmmmmm, we all can think that they doesn't landed.

Certainly i'll try to believe in the contrary... But some good points that you've launched here and i'll search more carefully and make some opinions to share...

If the US did this and i believe they can ofc it's one of the most shamed conspiracy in the entire world.

The funny thing about conspiracy theories is that they never allow coincidence. If something doesn't make sense to the average guy, then the most off-the-wall exaggerated conclusion is applied.

That said, here are the answers you're looking for...I think MythBusters even did a special on this theory:

Apollo 11 Moon landing: conspiracy theories debunked - Telegraph

Despite all of that, the better question is: Why would America go through such extreme efforts to fabricate a moon landing? The organization and careful planning alone would probably exceed the effort required for building the spaceship itself!
The art of simplicity is a puzzle of complexity.

    @DavosCabin
the simple answer would be: it is a sure thing that they will "reach" the moon if they fake it. But if they actually attempt to reach the moon and fail that would also go down in history. Imagine a headline like this 'america fails to reach moon -- russia reaches moon'

However I know the moon landing was without a doubt the real thing and anyone who says different has simply not looked at the evidence.

You got me thinking their bridskid. I remember them talking about the moonlandings. Why would their be wind. Their is no atmosphere. Well, I mean it's open space, what else is going to take it's place. Their is no oxygen their, probably other stuff their, but its just not empty. Something should be able move it.

The point of no stars. Hmm, well if it's couldy on earth, their is no stars, or it's just blocking our view, but their is no atomsphere their so, I cant explain the answer. You are right. I think everywhere in space, you should be able to see stars.

But this brings to me one conclusion. How everlong ago this video was taken, Im 100% sure the camera equipment is not as good as today. Im 100% sure we can land on the moon once again, if we wanted to. Also, the camera equipment probably wont be able to see stars even if it was shot on earth. So, I hope this makes sense,

Blast crator, hmm, Not sure about this one. I dont know how solid the moon ground is, but the crater is sure to come from asteriods or meteors. Im pretty sure a space ship wont be able to have that much force, or the astronauts would be dead.

Radiation, Hmm, you got me on this one. I really dont understand radiation at all. But as stated, you just might come back crazy. Lol. :p

Hey bridskid, i hope you enjoyed my statements, to me this is all in point of view, I have no expierence in reseaching of moon landing, but this is what I can explain with common knowledge.

That's enough rudeness, thanks. s2cuts, your post has been deleted. Regardless of what ethicks may have said, further insulting by you is not going to be tolerated. I don't think ethicks meant to imply that bridskid was retarded, but your comment with it's highlight on "retarded" clearly was meant to insult and demean.

Bridskid is merely pointing out his views, he has clearly read up on the topic... have you? Even if you have, implying that you find him retarded is not only off topic it is against the rules of this forum. If you have something constructive to add then say it. Healthy debate is encouraged. If not, please keep any nasty comments to yourself.

I suppose that was over the line. I apologize to Bridskid.

The only thing I can say in my defense is that it's enormously frustrating for me to continually see people keeping the most nonsensical ideas alive. Seeing ethics echo some of my frustration caused me to maybe react impulsively.

The bottom line, moon rocks. And if that's not enough see the moon mirror... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-aFTeXjcRw"]moon mirror[/ame]

I mean really, that should end this debate, but I suppose it won't.

yeah physicists/scientists have successfully been able to reflect/bounce
a response off of the moon. Hell if you buy the equipment you can test it yourself today.

edit: It appears s2cuts already posted a video to it lol!

I myself have pondered this a few times before. No matter how much I read and ponder what I have read I lean more towards this being a fabrication than actual truth.

One thing that has always bothered me is the fact that little to nothing has ever been said by Neil Armstrong himself.

I mean call me crazy but if I was fortunate enough to accomplish a feat as such I would want to talk about it more publicly.

I want to believe we did and yes there is a lot of "compelling" evidence that in my opinion can't not truly be proven one way or the other. Seeing as how we have only done this once in 1969 for crying out loud.

If we had the technology to do such a feat as then in 1969, why are we not doing it time and time again since considering the technology has only improved a 100 times fold since then?

Just my thoughts on this particular conspiracy.
