There's a mythbusters episode that can prove about half of you wrong on what you are saying.

Dunno if the NASA moon landings were legit. Clearly there is "evidence" that supports different and conflicting POV. But trying to sort the wheat from the chaff objectively seems an exercise in futility. "Factoids" abound; false certainty rules the day. A "pit of snakes" better sidestepped, if you please.

To me, the more intriguing question arises as to what is/was the source of the technology behind NASA space exploration, if, in fact, there has been any real exploration. Was it developed by human ingenuity or from extraterrestrials who handed it to the authorities or was it back-engineered from crashed ET spacecrafts. Another inscrutable conundrum to add to the mix for those inclined to spirited speculation.

May I suggest that it seems clear, though, that landings or no landings, and despite countless billions spent, or so they say, no profound benefit whatsoever from such has ever trickled down to the unsung masses of humanity on this wee planet who are struggling, straining, stressing and striving to get by and live decent lives. It would be encouraging if space technology could in some significant way finally begin to truly enhance life on planet Earth.

Hasn't anyone seen the new Transformers movie? Of course they went to the moon! They had to investigate that alien ship with sentinel inside that crashed there. The race against the Russians wasn't to see who could get to the moon first, it was to see who could investigate the crash first.

I'm just kidding of course!! Sorry..I get weird whenever someone brings up conspiracy theories that are hard to explain...
