In Norway freemasons announce their meetings in newspapers, with codes and such. Atleast, that is what my mother told me. :)

I wonder how many of us on T-I are free-masons...

I don't think they are that rare... in the US a lot of people in the military are Free Masons...

I don't know any personally but in Santa Barbara we have a huge masonic temple underneath the Bank of America downtown. There is a huge door on the side of The bank of America downtown, that was open at around 3:00am one night with flights of stairs going under the bank. My buddy or i had never really noticed it before which was strange after living here for so long so we went to investigate. After going down a couple flights of stairs we got to a hallway and realized that it wasn't some law firm or business but a masonic temple. There wasn't any one around so we kept on walking through another small waiting room than down a hallway into a big huge room with vaulted ceilings. Inside was a huge table with about 40 robed guys.. As soon as we walked out into the room we quickly got noticed and escorted back out the way we came by 2 guys each grabbing our elbows. Back up at the door we entered they very politely and gently pushed us back out the door and quickly closed it behind us.. This all happened with out the robed ones saying a single word to us which was kinda creepy. Anyways after looking at the carved stone around the door the next day in better light(and not all hammered) we could see a whole bunch of masonic symbols that we had never noticed before kinda cool... I have since noticed little masonic temples ALL OVER southern california its pretty interesting i too would like to meet/talk to a mason though and get a little bit more info. I am sure like your saying its not some Crazy magic cult type thing but more of a club for successful smart people.
Just thought i would share and add to the thread. I would REALLY like to get my hands on some of their literature does any one know if that is possible through any trackers? maybe the occult or something? i don't really know anything about that tracker haven't managed to get in yet but thanks for starting this thread i am interested to see what other TI member have to add

While i was in Afghanistan I was on a very big base and you would meet one every now and then but not enough to say alot. Even then we had only about 12-15 brothers that came to lodge on a regular basis.

I thought only "VIP" can join them by selection/invitation or something? They got annual fees too?
