    Default Browser Wars !!

Yesterday windows updated my system to IE9. So, just out of sheer curiosity I started tinkering with it.

Now the last time I used IE for surfing was 8 years ago when I was a kid with my 1st internet connection. Even in those days IE failed to impress me and I quickly moved to Opera (Tabbed Browsing!!). The only other instance when I used IE was to download Firefox or Chrome.

This time however, I was pleasantly surprised by IE9. Not only is the interface clutter-free but the performance too is pretty good. IE9 uses the same auto-complete used by chrome. Since it's a product of Microsoft so I integrates with windows like no other browser, even the site loading times when surfing were on par with the current browsers.

Now, may be I'm impressed just because I had low expectations to start with, but still IE9 is surely worth a try.

However, it isn't going to replace chrome as my default browser any time soon.

Chrome seems to still have some compatibility issues at times. Odd things, like flash or java not working quite right because it's integrated instead of an add-on.

I love Firefox, and I'm betting no matter how much the performance of IE has increased, the security is still as lackadaisical as ever.

Moved to Computers. Since you chose to go with IE9 in the poll, which is still an RC, may I suggest updating Firefox from 3.6 to 4 and Chrome from 9 to 10. Both of them have their release dates just around the corner.

Switched from Firefox to Chrome about 6 months ago, and won't go back.

i have been using firefox for years , it works great. Installing too many add-ons will make it slow to load but still love it

Chrome is the best browser overal but not as flexible for customization as firefox that is the only reason why I haven't switched yet.
