DaTTYDaT u've built a pretty decent gaming rig.....!!
more importantly don't ignore RAM, as they are the best performance boosters. A good config. such as yours shud have at least 6 GB DDR3 RAM.
Asus, MSI and Gigabyte all are reputed names in the motherboard category, I myself have a Gigabyte motherboard.
Both Graphics Card companies are OK, but I myself prefer XFX !!
Coming to Power Supply, buy a good quality 450-500W power supply. A good quality 450W power supply is better than a cheap quality 600W power supply.
Remember, you don't build a PC everyday, so get the best, cos we all deserve that.
    Happy Shopping !!

hi DaTTYDaT, i first would recommend i7 especially as they keep bringing out new stuff. i think gigabyte are very good both in motherboard and graphics. i am true in saying that intel is better but some may differ and say amd? this may help with what power supply is required eXtreme Power Supply Calculator, its always difficult answering these questions as what the pc will be used for plays a big roll, i have been following evga very closely witch also seem a great enthusiast product both in motherboard and graphics. then the question arises do you want to go crossfire or sli? or just single graphics card.this could be usefull Video Card Reviews and Specifications - Welcome To GPUReview.com! - GPUReview.com its is important to check with manufacturer specs and make sure whatever else you get is compatible with motherboard. I personally havent seen much happen with the chipset 1366 and waiting to see what comes out next?
if i was to do something now i would be going for something like the following
    GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1366 - GA-X58A-UD7 (rev. 1.0)
EVGA | Products this forum may also be helpfull ? XtremeSystems Forums - Powered by vBulletin and then dont forget about ram which is also very important, with so many brands i'ts difficult to decide but i personally wouldn't mind trying kingston.
good luck and i hope this has helped some way!

    From my point of view.

    CPU.
Intel: Best performance, but not most price-worthy.
AMD: less performance, more price-worthy. More power/$$$

    Main board.
ASUS. largest manufacture. Have a large range of products, are you into over-clocking and fine-tuning of you system then OK go for some high-end card. Otherwise the low end card is good enought, just check so it have the IO you need. I.E, USB 3.0, 6 Gb/s SATA nad enought PCIe for you needs (Do you need corssfire/SLI? )
    ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 review

    Graphic-card.
Sapphire. For the graphic card manufacture, i always just focus on what GPU they are using. The manufacture is less of importance, however Sapphire and Gigabyte seams to always deliver price-worthy and quality products.
Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 2GB Video Card - Final Thoughts :: TweakTown USA Edition

For PSU and Memory. Corsair, but not the low end products.

Im planning to buy a system my self. I will go for this setup:
    AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2,8GHz Socket AM3 Box
    Asus M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3
    Corsair CMPSU-650TX 650W
    Corsair XMS3 DDR3 PC12800/1600MHz CL9 2x4GB DDR3
Fractal Design Define R3 (Svart) Miditower-chassi
    Sapphire Radeon HD6950 HDMI Dual-DisplayPort Dual-DVI 1GB

If you want a great video card get the gtx 460. Since the gtx 500 series came out, the prices on the 460s have dropped quite a bit and is actually a steal now. As for mobo brands, I would only go with Asus or Gigabyte. I have only used Asus mobos in my builds and have yet to have one go. I would personally get the i7-950 just because I can get it here for 33% less than most places :P

I recommed Nvidia. I've been using their products for about 2 years, no problems appeared.

Which Brand of mothernboard can u recommend?
    ASUS, Gigabyte

    Which processor can u recommend?
Also I've been using intel processors for a long time, very happy with them. But some people think that AMD processors are better for games.
    Looking for HDBits [request]

I'd go with ASUS for both the motherboard and graphic card, I've used it for my last 2 builds and also for a couple of friends and none had any problems.
Also would be great if you could give a budget, can't really recommend anything without a price range.
Also for the PSU I think Cooler Master would be good, you can use this link to see what wattage you'll need:
