Default bad effects on HDD by 24/7 working torrent client

I wonder if much using of torrent client can wear out HDD? Every file is broken down to many many parts. So HDD does a hard work moving its heads while seeding or leeching. its a mechanics after all

All files are broken down to many parts at the HDD, not only torrent downloads. To avoid it, perform HDD defragmentation often.

So about the main question. Yes, I think it will wear out your HDD in 24\7 using mode. So buy the one with few-years long warranty :) They will exchange to the new one. And make backups!

Anything with moving parts is more likely to fail. HDD's heads are moving no matter how you break the parts.
HDDs lifetime is about 5y(reported by the manafacutres but usually works much more than that although I wouldnt count on that), its counted by working hours (power on).

if you don't have 100/100 Mbit/s or more than you should nothing to worry about. HDDs work noting if you have slow down/up speed more internet speed you have more they have to work. It's like you have a very fast internet speed than is like that you copy some file from one HDDs to another :D

I have one WD HDD 1 TB working for years 24/7 and still working great 0 bad sectors :D more you turn off and turn on your HDDs more you broke them :D if they work all the time on normal operating temperature than they will work good for years :D

i know that HDD movs heads all the time but I mean that due to the thousands of tiny parts the HDD works in hard mode rapidly moving it heads.

As said above, it almost always works in that mode, so dont care about it :)

SSDs are very expensive, especially for seeding torrents :)
