    Default [TI] Intel launches two new X58 boards

    Although the release of the Sandy Bridge is just around the corner but Intel still bringing product for its current Nehalem CPU lineup with the release of two new high-end chipset based X58 boards, the DX58SO2 and DX58OG.

    Both the boards support LGA 1366 socket Core i7 processors.

    The DX58OG offers high data throughput and supports SuperSpeed Universal Serial Bus (USB) 3.0, SATA 6.0 Gb/s, triple channel DDR3 upto 2000+MHz memory and full support for ATI CrossfireX and NVIDIA SLI technology.

    The board also features two x16 PCI Express slots, three x1 PCI Express slots, one PCI slot, gigabit ethernet and 5.1 channel audio.

    The higher model DX58SO2 also features the similar specs as its younger brethren with SuperSpeed Universal Serial Bus (USB) 3.0, SATA 6.0 Gb/s, triple channel DDR3 upto 2000+MHz memory and full support for ATI CrossfireX and NVIDIA SLI technology.

    This one features three x16 PCI Express slots, two x1 PCI Express slots, one PCI slot, dual gigabit ethernet and 7.1 channel audio.



    Both boards feature on-board Power and Reset buttons, a series of status LED lights and an BIOS debug LCD display, the higher model DX58SO2 also also features on the fly base clock frequency adjustments.

    These look like they might actually be Intel boards which are... decent!

    I'm pretty sure Intel haven't targeted anything but the low-end market until this.

    Looks decent! though I personally don't like intel desktop boards.
