    Default [Official] TI Overclocker Club

    TI Overclockers Club
Im starting this as an overclock proof, and results thread.
This is one of my little passion's
    Member Overclocks

Ok so this is how it works.
Create a new post for each stable overclock, posts with no verification of stability (screenshot) will not be added to the list. Also, posts with CPUz validation only will be added to the bottom as "Stability Attempts"

(For Gigaflops, You must run either LinX or IntelBurnTest for at least 5 runs, screen shot required, peak score will be taken)

    I. For stability you will use one these program's PRIME95, or OCCT.
Run Time for PRIME95 minimum 3 hours
Run Time for OCCT minimum of 4 hours.
(I will also accept 8 hour LinX run)

II. Temps in Celsius, at idle, and at max load
    (use realtemp, or hwmonitor)

III. CPUz screenshot, or validation link
(I encourage you to add other benchmarking results, cinebench, vantage, SuperPI, etc. but these will not be added to the form/results)

    Here's an example
    Follow this format
    Cpu: 955
    Username: FoLiK
    Stepping: C2
    Frequency: 3779
    ref*multi: 251*15
    CPU voltage: 1.45
    CPU-NB: 1.25
    nb frequency: 2519MHz
    NB volts: 1.3
    RAM: 4GB DDR3 1344MHz 9-9-9-25
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P
cooling: Skythe MugenII (push-pull fan mod)
    OS: 7 64-bit
    GFLOPS: 49
    1. CPUz validation
    (attach screeny, or link)
    2. PRIME95, or OCCT stability
    (attach screeny)
    3.Temp at load
    (attach screeny)
    4. Have your browser open showing you logged in TI, in one of your screenshots.
(I would suggest to take ONE full screenshot of steps 1-3 above with step 4 somewhere visible in there)
    Heres an EXAMPLE SCREENSHOT

Please follow this format, it will be easier for me to add you to the list.

I like to use RivaTuner to overclock my graphics card. Works like a charm. Very easy to use for noobs like me.

You have ATI, or Nvidia? I didn't like rivatuner as much as evga precision, well for my current card anyway

I have an ATI card, a few years old. It still runs most games pretty well.

    I hit 4.5 with a e5200, but wasn't stable. I made it stable on 4.2 (Gigabyte P35, Corsair 2 X 2 GB, Asus silent square, Tough Power 600W). I had to increase the Vcore a lot (1.4). I also OCed a e6300 100% means upto 3.6 GHz.

Waiting for my next i7 with liquid ...

I can't understand one thing: What is the use of overclocking any graphics card?

I dont prefer overclocking through over voltage. It tends to diminish the life of the product. We can always overclock through multiplier adjustment

As long as the temp is in safe zone, you don't have to worry about lifetime.

Thats either because you are very safe, or dont know much about voltage. Voltage does not diminish the life of components, its the lack of proper heat exchange.
Heat is what kills, not voltage. Now of coarse voltage = heat, unless you have a monster cooling system. There is a safe voltage zone without getting too much heat.

On a separate note. Lets say your right, and over volting decreases the life of the component. I personally upgrade my whole computer every year or two, so I've never had a cpu "go out" on me before I upgraded.
