    Default Best budget Media Server?

    I'm shopping for a media server for myself for Christmas. I was looking at the apple TV but thought maybe there is something a little better with some storage. Hoping to pay about $200- 350.

    Any suggestions?



    I would like to be downloading store some HD films etc so would be good to have the option of large storage.

    Looks perfect / I think thats just what I will do grab an external hard drive and a boxee. I downloaded the software to my Mac to have a look and was pretty impressed. Gets the covers for your torrents as well. Nice touch. I'm glad I asked the question.

    I have personally decided on boxee box for Christmas. Love the interface and it plays all the formats I require. It doesn't have a any storage but I have a 1TB external hard drive I can just plug and play. Yay!

    Not many of them have any storage since built in. I think WD TV Live Hub has like 1TB - you might look at that. It runs about $200 :P
