Thread: How often you Reinstall your OS ??

For me ,, With Win 7 I reinstall it every 8 Months :D

I typically reinstall my OS around 3 times a year. Reason being is I put a lot of crap on my system and after a while a fresh start is nice.

However since Windows 7 I have not done this for some odd reason. I've only reinstalled the system once since using it not counting the initial install when I went from the beta to the full retail release.

I haven't reinstalled in over 2 years, I keep my PC pretty clean and update it frequently.

Only if something goes wrong, last time 6 months ago becouse of HDD failure.

None, Win7 rock. I don't need to reinstall at all since using it. I have 4 computers and 3 laptop in my house and all of them been fine since last year.

I try to reformat as little as possible. I'd say on average....once every two years (Windows7/slackware).

For Linux, I don't reinstall. I usually try another distro if I feel there is a need for me to try something better.
