Default Sync Desktop: A Workspace With Integrated PC and Fold-Away Monitor

<div> Besides being absolutely beautiful, this Sync Desktop concept from designer Gareth Battensby features a fold-away widescreen monitor and keyboard, a built in USB hub, scanner, mouse, webcam, easy-to-access DVD unit, and plenty of storage space. And because it is all seamlessly integrated into the design, the Sync can be converted into a standard desk for other projects whenever necessary. The only problem is that I doubt that it could ever become a commercial product unless there was a way to upgrade the hardware. [Gareth Battensby via Born Rich]

This looks seriously futuristic. Look like the sort of thing you see in movies based in 2500.

I once ran a motherboard in a wooden desk, because I didn't have a case for it. All the wires trailed out of the back of a hole I drilled out of it. I had USB extension wires & the DVD-RW on top of the desk. Despite the desk being wood, the temperature was very low.

Looks beautiful, though possibly you would also pay for it. =)
And don't see it integrated with the rest of the room. =) It's quite nice though. ^^

And don't think it's that hard to switch parts. =) It looks like the pc itself is inside the right table leg. If you are able to screw it open like a normal desktop it ain't that hard. ^^

It's running Ubuntu Linux.... Because Windows isn't cool enough to be in a product like this :)

    Question -

Do you think in the future everyone will have their own portable computer which they use for everything....

    OR

Do you think that everywhere in the world will have terminals like this, which you logon to? All your files would be stored in a government censored server somewhere.

Knowing the government, the second idea might happen :S

Neither. =) People want to own their own stuff too. =) And we don't want to attempt to drag a 30" with us in our pocket. =) Might if it gets portable.
Might get a portable device with you connect, don't know yet. ^^

    We will find out. =)
