Default Ubuntu - 10.04 LTS Lucid

I've decided to kill my old ubuntu install (9.x) and update to Lucid. I've spent the whole day getting it set up the way I like it but one thing I've never done with my ubuntu box is dl torrents with it!

    Seems crazy eh?

The box is an AMD 3500+ 2GB ram k8neo 2 platinum mobo with 2 SATA HD's (one for linux, the other for windows xp) geoforce 7600GT and Soundblaster Audigy and a pair of m-audio studiophile av 40's

I've had lots of fun so far - impressed to see all the cards in my pc were identified and installed without any grief.

I added ipsec vpn capabilities so I could get into my work machine
    - i started out just googling and using the terminal but found out that in the end I could have and should have just used the "Ubuntu Software Center" and installed the following packages:
    - kvpnc
    - ipsec tools for linux
    - cisco-compatible VPN client
It works now and is very quick to make the connection!

Next I made it look like a mac (Turn Your Ubuntu Lucid to Mac OS X - Make Tech Easier)
Added the dock, Cairo Dock and spent an hour tweaking it
    Added VLC, google chrome, codecs
I also installed oracle's virtual box and threw in a vdi (virtual disk image) from my mac that hosts a fully functional xp (works without any changes - totally sweet).
XBMC was super easy to add - after which I added nfs-common and connected my fileserver video storage to the video folder in my home folder. Runs pretty well on this old box!

Now I need to add a BT client but I'm not sure which one would be best in ubuntu - anyone else running Lucid with a preference?

Finally I'm going to add PeerGuardian and config that.

What do you think I should go for with regards to the BT client?

Any other fun stuff you reco for my Lucid adventure?

    Cheers,

    Havoc

I use rtorrent for now; other clients are too big for my system. But I am not satisfied with it. Docs are not updated. I will make the switch to uTorrent if it is ok. Since you have a good PC, you can try any torrent client and see what fits your needs. I have tried Transmission before but I didn't like it. I've also heard it had problems with some trackers. The two popular clients, I think, are Deluge and KTorrent. Deluge also supports blocklisting so that you don't have to install PeerGuardian.
