Have USB3 computers/laptops caught on? I was at the Local Bestbuy this afternoon and the sales guy there said USB3 isn't worth all the hype.
Thinking of getting a laptop but not sure if I should keep waiting for USB3s to come standard with them.

I wouldn't wait for the USB3 right now as Intel has yet to support it along with numerous other businesses.
Is Intel delaying USB 3.0 to give Light Peak an advantage? | ZDNet
Interesting article. Basically stating that Intel is not supporting USB 3.0 on motherboards til 2012 for certain reasons. Which we all know Intel makes the world go round
Not saying that having USB 3.0 devices are not good to have now, just saying I wouldn't base my decision for a laptop or PC because of it. Desktop wise you can buy an add-on card for USB 3.0 support if the motherboard does not have it currently. Assuming you are buying an already built computer that is. As far as laptop I don't know if any support it yet, to be quite honest I haven't looked.
If you build your own computer there are plenty of motherboards out now that support USB 3.0 from all manufacturers.
I think you might just wait till it is more famous and most people start using it, unless you want to custom build a PC :)
There are many MotherBoards out which supprot USB 3 and Sata 3.
And Even usb 3 and Sata 3 Drives are available in the Market in some places.
Anyone here used any of them? I think I've seen maybe one computer advertised with USB3 around me (not on the web). Doesn't seem to be picking up any to me.
I have yet to try a USB3 device out yet, however I can use them I just don't have the means to buy one yet. I too would like to know if any one here has used an USB3 device. For performance stats and such.
Otherwise I think when I am able to unless blown away by some stats, I'll stick with eSata.
Too bad. Wonder if it's gonna end up like firewire - fast and stable, but under supported to death.

USB 3.0 and SATA 6G Performance Preview - HotHardware
Wow, USB3 pumping 140MB/s on external is awesome. Not impressed with the SATA stuff though.
Sata 3 would also be a great hit for the users who are using SSD Drives.
