Nice. I was thinking about it, but i think i'll hold off for a couple months and get the 8 core two 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Mac Pro. Can't wait to get that beast. I'm really struggling with my editing on my 2006 Macbook Pro. It's only 2.3ghz 2gb RAM, and it struggles a little with the rendering in 3D modelling applications (render times are a bitch with only 2 cores working).

What will you be using it for besides it looking so sexy? General use or do you have a need for it?

Yeh it will be a bit pricey, but to be fair, I can justify spending that amount on it. Being a freelance graphic designer puts a lot of strain on my '06 MBP, I recently had to replace the hard drive (lucky for me I do frequent back ups).

Have you always used Macs, or is this your first one? I love the feeling of getting a shiny new Mac :)

Ooo, very nice. I've always loved IMac's, there amazing machines and I always find myself drawn to them when I'm at the Apple store. But I think my next apple purchase will be the new Mac Mini. I've only owned Apple laptops so far.

Yeh the mac mini looks sweet too, i just think i need a little more power for my work. Which macbooks have you owned TheEnd?

Macs seem to get a lot of bad press from many communities, the fact is i'm completely in love with them lol (<fag)

People love to hate Apple and usually for completely ridiculous reasons. Though I must say I don't love Apple as a whole, but I love my Mac and when it comes to computers I can't see myself using anything else. Well atleast ATM. And earlier this year I was forced to use XP (HD drive failure in my macbook) on a tower my housemate built a few years back & I don't think I have ever been that miserable before. I also used Utorrent for the first time ever during that fiasco and completely hated it. I missed Transmission so much during that month.

Oh and Musky over the years I've owned a Ibook G3 (Clamshell) and a Powerbook G4. Right now I have a Macbook (White).

i'm not a fan of osx particularly. But macs themselves are beautiful things and apple makes some kick ass hardware. and their battery life is amazing
