    Default Best way to share MP3s on Blog

    Hi Guys,
    I'm not sure if this is best posted here or in music, but I figured I might find more people with an answer in this forum.

    I recently left my job so I could travel.

    I'm in the middle of starting a new blog, which is going to be part travel blog, part music blog. Basic premise is, creating playlists that correspond to the places I travel, and then getting playlists from random strangers I meet along the way.

    The blog is being created with WordPress (obviously...).



    What do you think the best way to post and share mp3s / playlists is?

    I was first thinking soundcloud, because that way I can link back to buy links for each track, it will work with Hype Machine, and I can choose to allow download or not allow downloads for each track individually.

    But, looking at most of the music blogs out there, it seems like a lot of them just upload the mp3s to their blog's website, and then use the yahoo media player (which, I also think looks kind of ugly).

    mediafire.com them and then link to them. Don't ever host the actual files.

    May I ask why? It seems like a large majority of music blogs out there host the mp3s on their sites without much trouble.

    The worst thing that's going to happen is getting a cease and desist letter.

    Regardless....what do you think is the best way to make the songs on the blog play like a playlist, so one song automatically plays after the next?
