    Default Best Computer?

I'm looking to buy a new desktop, and I just wanted thoughts on what would be a really good for computer for someone who downloads and watches a lot of movies on their computer.

    Any thoughts?

I don't know what to say on that part expect that if you download a lot and watch movies you need a nice pc monitor and some serous space. For my part I bought a Samsung P2770HD monitor, it really kicks ass when you watch movies on it. A 27" monitor is nice for something like that and it has a tuner so you can connect it to your TV cable or antena and watch some nice shows too. It's not that expensive too!
And for disk space, well id take a few 1 TB seagate hdd's the have a warrenty that is very long and they are perfect hdd's for the money youll spend on them. Not much and they wont let you down, trust me...

If it's just movie watching that you're concerned with, then just about any computer out on the market will suit your needs. Just upgrade the hard drive or buy an external drive to store your downloaded movies.

Last time i checked AlienWare made me spend double the price of the components on one pc!
If you INSIST on buying prebuilts try HP, they never let me down.

Before I built my own PC's I bought HP's, they always ran solidly for many years. Dell are quality also.

I would definitely say stay away from pcs and windows. Macs are less inclined to get any type of spyware or viruses and if your downloading a lot of content mac is the way to go. Plus they're just way way way better computers!

My advise this time,to all those who're looking for a new rig,is to wait.
New generation gfx cards are coming out the next couple months. So you can either get a new one,or get that sweet 5970 at 70% its current cost.
