    lol $1200 barely counts as "budget build".

    Go for a corei7, 6GB DDR3 Tri-channel RAM, a Nvidia GTX470, a good case like the Cooler Master HAF-932 and a 650W Corsair PSU. Also get a CPU cooler if you plan on overclocking.

    I just wanted to get opinions and see if anyone had a budget build or could recommend anywhere, but yes, preference is on the laptop side really. I'm after a desktop replacement, if it was a pc it would have to be very compact
