I didnt go with an i7 because it requireds ddr3.. which is a whole 100 bucks extra.
I bought an AM3 mobo that supports DDR2 or DDR3 and bought an AM3 cpu that can work with my AM3 mobo. So I saved a 100 bucks since DDR2 and DDR3 are not really different in performance (money wise)
