I use Windows player with CCCP codec pack & DFX audio enhancer software, It's a killer combination.
I still use VLC as my main player with MPC as a backup as VLC has been crashing very frequently lately. Tried KM Player for a while but I'm still inclined to use VLC!

Thank-you JustJenna,Bridskid & TankGirl for so much!
quicktime for the most part, but if a file is giving me grief, i'll open it in vlc
I just wish VLC would release a streaming app for the iPod Touch\iPhone so I wouldn't have to use silly apps like orb or StreamToMe.
I prefer SPlayer for Windows, although I chose MPlayer/SMPlayer for the poll. It's a small player doing great jobs! My fav part is that the player downloads subtitles automatically for the video.
Windows Media Player, with all the codes to play all kinds of video and audio
files
The biggest reason I don't use Windows Media Player? You can't lower the volume with simple mouse roll.
Too lazy to find the volume controls when I'm almost falling asleep watching a movie.
