    Default My problem(change ip)

fist of all sorry all for my low activity in the past few days...

    ok i have a problem
i just found out that my internet provider give ip dinamic(yet i have the same ip for the past 5 months...)
i leave with my sis and my bro and we all have pc or laptop so we used a router to split the internet bandwidth (192.168.1.xxx)
but the thing is the real ip is always the same(the one showed on speedtest)
i tried many times to change my ip using mac clone but for some reason i cant connect to internet if i change the mac address (in router)
    i can only change in 2 ip's using those 2 MAC's

if i use a different mac even if i change just one number (ex: 00-23-CD-FB-D2-29 to 00-23-CD-FB-D2-28) i will not get any ip (is not connecting to internet ....)

what i will try in the next few hours is to change network card MAC (if i find a program or a tut.....) and then try like that but i still what to know form someone who knows how can i change my ip since i talked with the provider and he said i have ip dinamic

provider said to try change mac address in router but like i said i cant connect to internet if i change in a different MAC then those 2 in picture

i tried change mac using this
local area connection status - properties - selecting client to microsoft networks then pressing configure - advanced tab - MAC address and change there at value but it changes only my internal ip( 192.168.1.XXX) not the real ip(showed on speedtest)

maybe you can help me find a way to change my ip(external)

if you need more info or you dont understand something (sorry for my english) please ask me to explain that part again

again sorry for my english and thanks for reading this loooong message....

    short edit:
i usually wait about 1 min when i changed mac in router and then i change back if is still 0.0.0.0 ip and no internet.... should i wait more ?or restart router/let it offline a few min then start again?

I have dynamic IP and it changes each time i restart my router. Try turning off your router/modem wait for a few minutes and turn it on.

In case you trying to get different IP's for different computer i don't think it's possible. AFAIK you get only one external IP from your provider for all devices behind router and no matter what you do you'll always have only one external IP. The IP may change if it's dynamic yet it always be one at a time. To get different IP addresses for different computers you need to purchase separate connections for each one.

    Cable or DSL?

If it is DSL you should be getting a new IP everytime you restart the modem, but if it is a cable connection you should wait at least 3hours (modem disconnected from power source) for a release.

i know this.... but i want to change that ip
internal i know we have different ip's (192.168.1.101;192.168.1.102; 192.168.1.103 etc)

i'm getting internet from UPC and they provide internet and TV

    is cable
are you sure that i will get a new ip if i let my router off for more then 3 hours it will get a new ip? because from what i see i can change ip only by changing mac address(and like i said i only know 2 MAC address that work my WAN address and PC address (see picture up)

    edit i'm so happy
i change my network card mac and for some reason now i have a different ip if i change in router MAC Clone - Your PC's MAC Address
but i tried so many programs that i dont know witch one changed my network card mac

    edit2:
i was determined to find a way to change my ip and use at max my internet so i come across this program SMAC 2.7 ,changing mac and unplug my router for 1-2 minutes and cloning my ip i managed to change my ip
thanks anyway ,posting here made me stick with this problem and find a way to fix it

if you have a dynamic ip adress your ip should get renewed after every rebbot the possibility is that your isp cahnged the ip to static one !
check your ip on ipdonkey and i dont think that you can change ur mac adress !

like i said i asked my isp provider what type of ip i have and he said i have dinamic but it will not change at pc or router reset (dont know why)

works now to change ip by changing the mac of my network card and turning off router about 10-20 sec and simply press clone mac address(see first picture) and press save
yes is dinamic ip but i have to change the ip by my self and that's ok because now i know how

IPDonkey is down, but i get different ip if i make a speedtest or i go to speed.timisoara.ro

At UPC the ip is dinamic but from their server (they use DHCP server). You can't change it.

Only if your ISP provides you with a dynamic IP. If your ISP gives you a static IP, it's just that, static, and as such won't change unless you find a reason for your ISP to change your IP (i.e. blacklisted IP). The OP has a dynamic IP setup, so restarting his modem/leaving it disconnected for an extended time period should provide him with a new one. I've never heard of clone mac so I'll check it out.

I'm just curious, why were you after a new IP? My preference is for a static IP so I can remote access my home network easier.
