Whats the best video format to stream to a PS3 from PC?

And, is there a Media player (i.e. WDTV, which is what I have) that can pass through DTS-MA to amp?

    Thanks..:)

From what I have seen, it seems that AVI format is easiest to stream from PC to PS3. My friend only uses AVI since he encounters no problem with this format. You can watch other formats too but it will take some work. I found a guide for watching MKV files on the PS3. http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Play-...-Playstation-3

For your second question I'm not really sure. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable could answer that.

I'm not entirely sure what DTS-MA to amp is, but a good program to use to stream files to your PS3 is TVersity, it can stream pretty much any file from your PC to your PS3. I use it for bigger files than the 4GB limit

1)I think it's x264,in mkv container with ac3,dts etc (untouched) audio 2)I'd try media player classic home cinema + codec pack (ffdshow and so on)

If you've got a half-decent computer, set up a media server that can transcode your files while streaming. That way you won't have to worry about file formats and codecs!

There are numerous media servers out there that will do this for you. Personally, I'm a huge fan of PS3 Media Server but I've heard good things about TVersity as well.

    Good luck!

I'm using PS3 Media Server and to play DTS tracks, the media server tricks the PS3 by passing LPCM 2.0 track, but when passed to your decoder (untouched DTS). I'm not sure with DTS-MA though, why don't you check it out? =p
