Thread: DDL/Usenet vs. Torrents ?

Does anyone here like warez over Torrent ? For movies, I will take a rapidshare premium account and the download manager over Torrent any day of the week. I got two copyright infringement emails from downloading movies on torrent but never from warez. It's fast and easy too, with the download manager.

What do you guys think about warez ?

Wow, I dont know what to say. I hate to use rapidshare, and the warezBB boards. I havent gotten much from them, and the waiting times. Its disgusting. I like torrents. Maybe the places you go isn't secure or private. Just my opinion. Could you tell me what trackers you got the infractions from. Have a good day!

the waiting times suck,but some times warez downloads has content that you can't find on torrents,not easily though.

Torrents are better. Because...

• Torrents

• No waiting time.
• No speed limits.
• At least you can be happy because you did share something.
• You can pause & resume torrents.
• No passwords to extract most times.
• No virus. (in private trackers)

• Warez

• No community support.
• Less sharing cause to remove some files from the server.
• Some files can be corrupt.
• Some files can be incomplete due to deletion.

well if you have got copyright infringement why don't you try some secure private tracker m8.


oh about your question :
I was a heavy warez forum user/uploader some 2 years back and have prefered to use warez download over torrent but hten the whole warez thing has so many bad issue that I just shifted towards torrents and sticked with it..

well main issue with warez:
1.As rapidshare limited the number of IP's you can use your rapidshare account so getting a shared account is tough and i just cannot spend cash every 3 month for a new rapidshare account.though the speed is good there.
2. rapidshare keeps on removing some copyright protected file and this will make a big issue as when you download like 40% of movie and then you suddenly find a rar file missing it's frustating TBH.


though we have some + points and I still use hosting sites for application and also templateP2P forum for gfx stuff.. ;)

You hit it on the head, newsgroups are def my #1 source. And I always max my connection. For rare and older movies though, torrents are best.

I hate wares due to RS and MU. I don't want to pay for premium services!

I prefer Warez if I need a small app or something like that real quick but if it's a movie, game, album, etc I use my private trackers.

I've used pisexy and tvtorrents for the past few years and have never had a warning from my isp with any of their related torrents. I have pulled the occasional thing from the piratebay and been hit up for that from my isp - needless to say I don't go there anymore.

I'm pretty sad I didn't realize I hadn't logged into my pisexy account for the past month or so - been rather distracted with life and now it's closed and I had a pretty high ratio too :(

So if you do manage to get into a good private tracker site - don't be an idiot like me and let it lapse!
