    Default 1080p

so 1080p videos on internet(youtube) and 1080p movies in general they are huge CPU eaters
currently i am waching videos on youtube only on 480p and movies on my pc at 720p max since higher they lag so much.....
what exactly i have to change in my pc configuration(for ex more RAM) so it stops lag like hell?
my sis have a laptop with an average configuration and even on her laptop movies in 1080p and videos on youtube in 1080p lags
    what is the problem?
can i get a minimum config for a pc to stop lag?(i am talking about new processor, new videocard or what i need)
    thanks
i'm sure i am not the only one having this problem .....

Can you do a speedtest? It's probably your internet connection.

While you are watching 1080p videos on internet, especially your video card and internet connection must be good. For this you can buy a videocard and have a faster internet. While you are watching movie from your PC, especially your CPU must be good. If your CPU is slow you can play the movie from your videocard by DVXA. If your videocard doesn't support DVXA you can use CoreAVC codec. It is the best solution for old CPUs. By "KMPlayer + CoreAVC" you can watch mate. :)
I'm happy if I helped you

my videocard is old and even then it was one of the cheapest on the market.....

i dont think is a internet problem since i i have 1.5mb/s down and 350kb/s up
and when i start a video on youtube for example i dont need to pause since i have a good internet connection, even at 1080p i dont need to pause but even if i pause and i wait til is 100% and start the video it still lags so the problem is from my pc
but the problem is i dont know what exactly i have to change
B.Celtics i have a friend that have many video cards so i will try with a better one and see then if it still lags
i may have to upgrade soon to a laptop.....(expensive)

I'm willing to bet it is your internet connection, or at least partly. I don't know what the bitrate of youtube 1080p videos are (or 720p, for that matter) but I'm guessing they be at least 2.5-3 Mbps, which is basically double what your current connection can handle.

I decent video card will help if you use dxva(direct x video acceleration, it offloads the work to your video card). For youtube you will need the newest version of flash, otherwise it will use your CPU. Also CoreAVC is good, but is it still limited to nvidia?

If you can verify your dl speed are good and the streaming itself is not the issue, a kick ass gpu (graphics card) can make a HUGE difference. if your mobo is older and uses an agp video card, likely that's your limitation. If you're on a newer system and have access to pci/e you can get a fairly inexpensive 512mb video card and that should solve your issue. We've got a chain of fairly helpful computer stores up here called Canada computers and the guys at the service desks are always happy to chat about configs - maybe there's a store like that in your neighborhood where you can actually get someone to take a look at the box in person and give you a suitable reco.

1.5Mbps is too little for 1080p. if you have good gpu you won't have problem with the right codecs and settings. with dxva you won't have problem playing 1080p video.
but your connection is too slow. if you meant 1.5MBps which is 12Mbps then you connection is fine for 1080p.

ur internet is the problem i no because i used to have 1mbps down and 768mbps up... now i have 15mbps down and 5mbps up... ur internet is really slow for 1080p even on my internet i have to wait 5 seconds to watch 1080p movies before when i had 1mbps internet i had to wait forever to watch 1080p videos so i just watched in 480P... get a faster internet like mine if u want to watch 1080P without waiting
