The whole point of a laptop is mobility. The requirements for gaming, and the goals of a laptop are mutually exclusive, which means there is going to be compromise if youre going for a gaming laptop.

If your main thing is gaming, get a desktop. And if youre on a budget, for for an Athlon II, x3 or x4, and put the extra money into a GPU.

Honestly I have to agree with mtguy; if you're main priority is gaming, get yourself a tower.

They're easier to manage, easier to customize, and have a much wider range of parts available for it.

Unless you're willing to drop around 2-3 thousand for a very nice gaming laptop, you're not going to be able to play many high end games on it.

for places like Pakistan & India dell is good because it is tough, while hp doesn't last that long, and as far as he processor is concerned, u may consider your budget first, if u can manage core i7 then its better because it got more cores and cache memory so it outperforms core i5

I believe that i7's are older but higher-end than i5's. i5's are newer with more special features than i7's, but are lower end. So I believe that Black is right in saying that an i7 will outperform a i5, but i5's should be a fair bit cheaper.

mtguy8787 has a very good point. Putting money into the GPU is the best thing to do. Personally, I never using the processing power of i5 and i7 (I doubt most people do). What is your basis on choosing between and i5 or i7 only? A Core 2 Duo can run any game to date; processors are hardly a bottleneck. Every company has their share of quality laptops, including HP. I wouldn't rule HP out just because you have read some rumors like theMistress has. My recommendation would any alienware (by Dell) or HP envy. Good luck!
