Default Dropbox - a super useful file backup/syncing program

Dropbox is an awesome backup/syncing program that I use daily. I thought you guys might like it. It basically adds a special folder to your computer. If you put files in this folder they get stored online in a cloud storage system. You can access your files from any computer that is linked to your Dropbox account or you can access it from the internet. This basically removes the need to ever use a USB flash drive. When you modify the files on one computer, the files on other computers get modified so that all your computers have the same files in the Dropbox folder.

Dropbox also stores old versions of you backed up stuff so that if you ever want to retrieve an old version you can! Dropbox is great for syncing all your homework or other documents or files across computers or smart phones.

You start out with 2GB of free storage. If you refer people and go through the "Getting Started" tutorial you can get up to 10GB of storage free. If you want more, though, you have to pay them. If you use my referral link then both of us will get 250MB of extra space. So I'd be very thankful if you used my link. Everyone else who has an account should post their referral links as well.

Tip: You should use a junk email to sign up initially and then change it to the correct email after installation and set-up, since the referrer can see the emails of the people that use the referral.

I can vouch for Dropbox. I have been using it since the private beta and I have to say, its a magnificent utility. It does a much better job than other alternatives, such as Windows Live or Mozyhome.

I've been using Dropbox for awhile now since there is Cross-Platform support. It's really nice and simple, but the only issue is that depending on where i'm at, upload speeds can be really slow. (This isn't Dropbox's fault, just the downside of backing up online.)

I too have Dropbox and I highly reccoment it! I use it for syncing files between my home PC and the laptop I use for work. It ensures that the files at both locations are always up to date and also has a 'Versioning' system which means I can revert back to a previous version if I need!

You can feel free to use my referal link also to gain an extra 250mb on signup!

I heard about it, but don't you have to download a software? I will pass on this.
