    I also disagree about the negativity towards Gigabyte. Especially the new ones, they come with onboard usb 3.0 and dual-bios (so if you flash, you don't have to worry if you mess up, it keeps a spare default bios stored separately just in case).

    On the other hand, ASUS is a good buy for me as well because i'm really close to their repair center (in case something did go wrong, they have a long warranty).

    I've had and ASROCK motherboard in the past and I'm currently using an ASUS motherboard and both are still plodding along fine with no problems. I've also read that XFX and EVGA make great motherboards so if you can afford it I would go for those brands.

    I would go with Gigabyte or MSI motheboard. Great motherboards, good for overclocking and they have proved them with their quality

    MSI and Gigabyte are my favorite. They have never failed me yet!

    I've typically used Asus boards in the past, but my last two boards have been Asrock... really strong boards on the cheap. I've had zero problems with them in about 2 years at this point. Not that I had probs with Asus much either.

    i am leaning towards gigabyte ga p55 usb 3. looked at some good reviews. i dont own any usb 3 cable devices but who knows what the future may have in store. thanks.
