Thank you guys for the great suggestions, I will take them into consideration, I'm on a super tight budget, but at the same time I want to be able to game pretty well. So it will have to be mix and match or buy a part at a time if I stay with high-end only. I will post up exactly what I get later. Back to figuring what kind of package I can put together... :)
If this computer is mainly for gaming you should think about an AMD Phenom II. The CPU/MB is a lot cheaper and the gaming performance is very very close. The only time the i7 really beats AMD in gaming is if you have top of the line SLI/Crossfire.
If you do a lot of video encoding though the i7 would be a better option as that is where it really shines compared to AMD.
So this never happened. Hopefully sometime soon. I did get some great insight on how and what to select. Stuck with the dual core laptop. :)
