Default HandBrake help needed - title displayed on video

I have recently started using HandBrake (v. 0.9.4 for Windows) for converting media to the.mkv format. The only issue I am having is that on each file it will display the name of it at the beginning when playing, lasting only a couple seconds. I am not sure why, but it really irritates me. I have not been able to find a setting that will turn this off. I have spent a bit of time reading their guides but I did not see anything about that feature on their site or from Google searches. I even tried switching to the .m4v to see if it did the same and it does.

I watched this video tutorial YouTube - How to use Handbrake and he does not get the title displayed on his video. He is using a Mac and a different video format, so maybe that is why?

Any ideas or a known fix?

It appears that your media player is displaying your title. Switch to another media player and title should disappear. Try Windows Media Player. I have encoded with Handbrake and have not had a problem with the titles.

It happens to the best of us. I'm more of a Media Player Classic man myself.

I have never used Media Player Classic before. What does it compare to, if anything?

I typically do not use VLC. I usually only use it for when I have a file and nothing currently installed on my machine will play it. I love it for that. I am a sucker for a nice interface... I tend to swap around between WMP, iTunes, and Real Player.

I happened to stumble across another media player last night. I am still experimenting, but so far it is really awesome. It is more designed for a HTPC, but could be used however you wanted. It is making me want to build an awesome HTPC just so I can use it to is full potential.

You can download the player here - About | XBMC

I have tried a few skins, and Rapier | XBMC is by far my favorite. I had major issues with the Back Row skin, and actually had to delete the skin file from the program files to get it to work correctly again.

Does anyone else on here use XBMC, maybe as an alternative to Windows Media Center? From what I read it does not slow down when adding a lot of media, such as WMC does.

Any experiences anyone has I would love to hear them.

Well the nice thing about Media Player Classic is that it's super light weight, and comes with the K-lite codec pack which is honestly the most useful codec pack I've ever seen. Media Player Classic is designed from the old Windows Media Player (which can be accessed by going Start>Run>"mplayer2"), but is revamped to work better and with more compatibility.
