Default The Sims 3 - can I run it?

I just ordered a new laptop with Windows 7

    I have this graphics card:

    NVIDIA® GeForce® G210M GPU with 256MB dedicated VRAM

    And the following processor:
    3.06GHz (T9900) Intel® Processor

    with 4 GB of DDR3 1600MHz RAM

My question is, can I run the Sims 3 comfortably?

Best, most comprehensive (and sourced) answer gets rep from me!

I'm not entirely sure since i don't have any experience on running The Sims 3 on a laptop. But the specs fall well within the minimum required specs according to the EA website. So I assume that it should run just fine as long as you don't plan on running it with every setting set high.

    The Sims 3 System Requirements:

    Laptop (Windows XP + SP2):
CPU: 2ghz Pentium4 Processor or Amd Athlon 2000+ Processor
    RAM: 1.5 GB of RAM
GPU: 128mb Video Card (GeForce Go 6200 or Radeon 9600)

    Laptop (Windows Vista + SP1):
CPU: 2ghz Pentium4 Processor or Amd Athlon 2400+ Processor
    RAM: 2 GB of RAM
GPU: 128mb Video Card (GeForce Go 6200 or Radeon 9600)

I think it will work fine.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately the EA website makes no mention of Windows 7 or my particular graphics card, so I am just going to trust that it will work... *crosses fingers*

i can say that it will work for sure cause i have a laptop with windows 7 unlimited 2 GB ram, 1.6 duel core and only 128 nvdia gfx and it works fine. actually it works better than Sims 2.
the Sims 3 has way better loading time than Sims 2.
