    Default Good MKV file Converters

I am just trying to get an idea what the general consensus is on the best MKV file converter that can convert my Blue Ray movies to xvid so they can be burned on to a regular dvd and played in a regular dvd player. I know I could just download the file the way I want them, but although I have a Blueray player and enjoy blue ray movies, not many people I know do.... and I would like to make movies for them without having to find good quality copies of those movies.... so... What ideas you guys got????

I like Xilisoft HD Video convertor (also called ImToo) It works very well for converting anything into everything else. It also works well at extracting the audio out of mkv files to be able to re-mux it with a different audio codec.

Matroska recommends using DVD Santa (software, not freeware) but makes the following notes:
Bear in mind, many MKVs today CAN NOT be converted into AVI files without substantially altering the audio and video information in the container, as MKV has been invented to overcome most of AVIs limitations and can thus hold audio and video streams which are simply incompatible with good old AVI container.

I like Total Video Converter. It's got an easy-to-use interface, and convert just about everything.
