Never. I would like to try Linux, heard it's a great OS, but it's not good for gaming.
If you are computer pro then you will love Linux for sure. It's free, open source and user friendly. I'm studying computer science so every project I work on Linux.
I love Ubuntu.
Simply put, I haven't tried Linux for the simple reason that I feel Ive only just gotten to know Windows'.
I know that's probably a stupid reason, but I dont want to start all over, learning the structure of the software. Also, everyone I know who are running Linux have had some sort of compatibility issues...
I have tried Ubuntu in my netbook but have trouble to start in up with my usb-hub so I didn't solve that problem so I changed to another OS. But if you give it time to learn about it's functions you'll enjoy it. They still need to improve the application handiness and the GRUB for me and my friends had many problems with it sometimes.
it all started back when i was in high school, first distro i tried was Debian (doh!) second RedHat, and stayed with it for a while, then Fedora, and finally Ubuntu/Kubuntu, but i have always used it along side window$ mainly for my wife who cant get to understand linux yet.... one day, one day.. anyways, its been a wile now but still loving it.
I think linux is good. I had tried suse linux. one problem though some alternative to specific applications are difficult to find
Works well for Torrents. I use Deluge, and i t seems to do the job better than windows and utorrent.
For all of you that say "I don't use it because I game" just dual-boot it with Windows! WIndows for gaming Linux for everything else! Heaps of guides on the internet for it!
Linux is very handy if you are a programmer, but otherwise I have to stick to windows (especially for gaming).
I vote Tried it, didn't like it, but it would be likeTried it, don't use it, non decided.
I had suse a couple of years ago, the problem was that the os did not recognize my graphic card so after that I did not give it a try.
I'm thinking now about ubuntu but I'm still undecided.
